We increase the amount of chromium content, thus the property of our product is also improved. Stainless grades have excellent corrosion resistant, high strength, high tensile, etc. thus we use the 304 grade for the production of Stainless Steel 304/304L Rods. This grade is an important part of the austenitic stainless steel. It is most widely utilized 18-8 chromium and nickel stainless steel products. UNS S30400 is the versatile corrosion resistant alloy used in many applications. 304L is the low carbon version of the 304 with the addition of nitrogen enables 304L has excellent mechanical and chemical properties.
Grade 304L/ 304 resists atmospheric corrosion and moderate in oxidizing and reducing the environment. This alloy has excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion. This alloy is non-magnetic in the annealed condition but some time magnetic as a result of cold working and welding also used in shop fabrication practice.
DESCRIPTION
These alloys are easily welded and the process by the standard shop of fabrications. The working of this alloy is highly recommended for the hot working process. This alloy increases the property during cold working operations and it gives quite magnetic property.
