304L is having the resistance to oxidation ability to a maximum temperature of 899 Deg C constantly without appreciating scaling. The maximum temperature is 816 Deg C for intermittent exposure. As 304L is the extra low carbon variation of alloy 304 and it can be used often into the as-weld condition with no annealing in the highly corrosive atmosphere, except for the application that specifying stress relief. Alloy 304L is having very good welding property and it can be welded through all the standard techniques but proper attention must be given for avoiding the hot cracking. Welding can be followed through annealing for relieving stress at the time of severe forming or spinning.
